Turmeric pizza with zucchini

A new day brings a new zucchini recipe ✨

Turmeric pizza dough

500 g italian flour (00) or strong flour

7 g instant dried yeast

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp turmeric

30 ml extra virgin olive oil

300 ml warm water


2 zucchini, ribbons

1 green chili, sliced

150 g mozzarella, shredded

100 g feta, crumbled

50 g lamb’s lettuce, basil or your favorite herb

2 tbsp parsley/garlic oil

Whisk water, yeast and sugar and let it sit for 5 minutes.

In a large bowl, sift flour, turmeric and salt and add yeast mixture and oil. Knead the dough for 7-10 minutes or until is smooth and soft. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow to rise at room temperature for 1 – 2 hours.

Preheat oven 250 C and place a pizza stone in the lower part of your oven.

On a lightly floured work surface gently flatten the dough and shape 2 discs.

Top the dough with the mozzarella, chili and bake for 10 – 12 minutes, then add the zucchini, feta and herbs. Drizzle with parsley/garlic oil and serve.
