Directions
I can not describe the smell of these cheesy rolls when they’re baking. All you can really do is leave whatever you are doing and wait in the front of the oven to finish the baking and open its door. 😋
It is a 2 steps process, but it is worth the wait.✨🎊
450 g strong (bread) flour
7 g dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
200 ml milk
75 g butter, melted
1 egg
2 tsp salt
Filling
300 g cream cheese
250 g cheddar, grated
2 tsp garlic powder
Using a stand mixer (fitted with dough hook), put the flour, yeast, sugar, egg, salt and milk in the bowl and knead for 7-10 minutes.
Add the butter and continue kneading for about 10 minutes more.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and transfer it to the fridge overnight.
Next day, remove the dough from the bowl, let it sit at room temperature for 1 hour, then roll it into a rectangle.
Spread the cream cheese evenly over the dough, then add the cheddar and garlic powder.
Preheat the oven to 200 C and prepare a baking dish with parchment paper.
Roll the dough into a log and cut the rolls with a sharp knife (or dental floss). Put the rolls in the baking dish, cover and let rise for 45-60 minutes.
Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve simple or with anything you want.
Enjoy!
